Female Transport is set in the harsh times of 1807 on a convict ship, and focusses on six women convicts – Winnie, Madge, Pitty, Charlotte, Nance and Sarah as they are transported to work camps in Australia. Brutal treatment and a mercenary approach to their transportation unites the women. With songs from Claire Ingleheart (Roses of Eyam, Dark of the Moon) and staging from Steve Musson (who designed and made the original Workshop production in the 1980’s), this promises to be a thought-provoking and powerful play. There are scenes of violence and considerable swearing.

15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th March.
