Salford

Founded in 2012, The Television Workshop Salford is a unique television, theatre and film-linked training initiative based at MediaCity UK.  We are inspired by and working in association with the BAFTA award winning The Television Workshop sharing the highest standards of professional drama training to prepare young people for performances in film, theatre and television. We deliver weekly sessions for 6 – 21 year olds in partnership with BBC Children’s, ITV Studios, Lime Pictures, Royal Exchange Theatre, Salford College, Salford City Council and The University of Salford Manchester.  Our Members strive to succeed in a fun yet professional environment.  Currently we have young performers starring in ‘Young Dracula’ CBBC, ‘No Offence’ AbbottVision for Channel 4 and ‘The Full Monty’ National Tour.

  • We Aim to develop and train young talent for stage and screen.
  • We Offer Producers and Casting Directors young talent for professional work and a resource for script development and research.
  • Our Ethos is to support talent regardless of the ability to pay.

Each term is only £100 per person .  We offer a limited number of bursaries to those who are in need of financial assistance as the search for talent and not the ability to pay is our driving ethos.
